The shots of Cullen's Arbor board were shot with a DIY rig I clamped between the two trucks.

Every once in a while, a new song comes blasting through my headphones and paints a visual that can’t be ignored. When I first heard Sky Cathedral by Hunt For the Breeze, I pictured a series of macro shots, followed by a skater’s foot slamming to the floor as the bass drops in the song. Before the idea left me, I immediately called a friend and asked if they had an old pair of skate shoes they could donate to make the shot happen.

Now, obviously, my initial idea of attaching a rig to a friend’s foot was dangerous for both them and the camera, but I didn’t want to give up on the shot.

Instead, I securely attached a steel arm between the trucks of a board that let my cam track the action. Though the song changed, I felt like the pace really fit this edit.
